Olympic symbol
Five Olympic Rings used alone, in one or in several colors. The emblem of five interlocking rings that represents the Olympic movement and the Olympic Games, which is the trademarked property of the IOC. The official design is deposited at the IOC headquarters. The Olympic symbol represents the union of the five continents and the meeting of athletes from throughout the world at the Olympic Games. (See Olympic Charter Rule 8) All rights to the Olympic symbol belong exclusively to the IOC.

Period of time indicatively beginning with the opening of the Olympic Village and training venues and finishing with the closing of the Paralympic Village. This phase includes the Olympic Games period, the transition period and the Paralympic Games period. It should be noted that the Games operations phase for certain venues, such as the IBC and the accreditation center, start earlier than the opening of the Olympic Village.
